Newtown AHA Friday - April 3 2009

Newtown will be holding it's monthly AHA friday on Friday (of course) 4/3/08. Come and check out Lingere, Ice Cream and art. That sounds like an odd combo, but AHA Friday is an event that features the various businesses of Downtown Newtown.

Schofield Covered Bridge Gifts

We have some great gift items featuring the Schofield Covered Bridge in Bucks County.

The bridge is an authentic re-creation of the original bridge that burned about 20 years ago. It is located in Tyler State Park and is accessable by walking or horseback. It crosses the Neshaminy Creek

Lunch at the Yardley Inn - Chicken and Sausage

We stopped in for the lunch special at the Yardley Inn the other day. It's a create deal for 12.99.

I started off with the Caesar Salad which is a generous size. They also had lemon poppy seed min muffins. For the main course, I ordered the sauteed chicken and sausage. It's a mix of sausage, chicken and veggies in a sweet and sour type sauce. The portion size was generous.

For desert I did the Chocolate mousse.

All in all it was a pleasant lunch and a great value. In addition, you get a great view of the Delaware river if you get the right seat.

Slatebleu wine tasting Thurs March 26th 630 pm

Slate Bleu will be holding a wine tasting on Thursday March 26th at 630 pm. They are located in Doylestown. The cost is $60/person $110 per couple.

The theme is Purebreds or wines made of 100% of their constituent grape variety.
